What makes a great system case (chassis) for a trading computer? Most customers we talk to don't give much thought to the case their computer is assembled in. We've also noticed many companies offering their customers cases of questionable quality. At Blue Aura Computers, we only pick the BEST cases on the market. The system case keeps all your precious components running cool, especially when you are pushing your processor to it's limits during heavy trading activity. The processor, RAM (system memory), power supply and motherboard itself all produce heat that must be dissipated out of the case. Not only does the case need to cool your system but it must do it quietly.

New Fractal Design Define 7. The quietest case we've ever used. What sets apart the Define 7 is having sound dampening materials on the 2 side panels and the front door that also has sound dampening. So which case is better, the Meshify 2 RGB or the Define 7? The open air mesh front panel gives the Meshify 2 slightly more airflow through the front, but our testing shows very minimal cooling difference. Both cases are excellent, we've give the edge to the Define 7 for noise reduction, but the Meshify 2 gets points for RGB fans (if you are into that) and improved front panel airflow.

Lets not forget about our Fracal Design Define 7 Compact case. The all new Define 7 Compact case takes the strongest features of the contemporary 7 Series design and places them in a conveniently compact footprint. This case does lack an integrated fan controller but if a smaller case is what you are after this is one of the best on the market. It has sound dampening materials just like it's big brother and has the same look/feel to the design. Our Best Selling Case

This model is specifically designed for silent operation, it includes high density sound dampending materials throughout the entire case to absorb sound. This is the overall best case we offer, it comes as shown with a solid side panel for the best sound dampening or we also offer it with a tempered glass side panel window. It's a nice large mid-tower with numerous of innovations & heavy thick steel construction.

This case is a great addition to our spectacular lineup and has become a customer favorite. We get calls and emails all the time asking how loud are systems are, this is a common concern for many customers. The Define 7 reaches the highest levels of silent computing virtually eliminating fan noise completely.

Airflow & Cooling

The way we configure this case with the standard fan package is three front Fractal Design 140mm fans and a rear 140 PWM exhaust fan that connects to the fan controller. We strongly urge our customers to spend the extra money to upgrade to one of our Noctua fan packages. We list several of them.

What fan package to select? Noctua makes a lot of very high end fans. Their original company colors are a tan with brown anti-vibration corner pads, sometimes these are referred to as Noctua's band-aid colored fans. They also offer an NF-A14 Chromax Black model that looks nicer (more traditional) and we install blue anti-vibration pads in the corners. These look really nice, especially if you have a side panel window on the case. If you aren't concerned about asethetics we really feel that Noctua's traditional brown/beige fans are still their best model as far as quality and quiet operation. That's not to say there are any real drawbacks to the Chromax fans but we still believe the old style brown/beige fans are a slightly better fan. We've been using their fans for nearly a decade and we are very familiar with every model they offer.

High Airflow Front Panel Mesh Design & RGB Lighting

This model is specifically designed for exceptional cooling, the full front mesh allows cool air to travel unimpeded. This is overall one of the best cases we've ever offered. It's a nice large mid-tower with numerous of innovations & heavy thick steel construction. There is a button on the top front panel of the case that controls the RGB lights. In addition to changing the colors, there are many different lighting effects to choose from.

Airflow & Cooling

We don't allow the fan package on this case to be changed. It comes with four 140mm Fractal Design Aspect 14 PWM RGB fans. These fans are absolutely beautiful and can be change to many different colors and also fan profiles where the fans can pulse, fade and do other effects. The fans can also be completely shut off.

Fractal Design Define 7 Compact

Compact Design with a Tempered Glass Window

Fractal Design makes "compact" versions of many of their most popular cases. This case is similar to the regular Define 7, but the dimensions are overall a little smaller, particularly the length (nearly 5 inches smaller on the length vs the regular Define 7 non-compact). Fractal Design doesn't include fan controllers in their compact cases but the way we engineer our systems it has no impact on cooling or performance as we simply connect the fans to the motherboard headers. We'd have to admit that the lack of a fan controller is a bit of a disappointment, it's nice to sync all the fans together on one controller but don't let that stop you from selecting this case if you need one with a smaller form factor. If you are looking for the "full" version of any of their cases then the non-compact regular versions would have all the extras and a bit more breathing room inside. Just like all of Fractal Designs cases, this one is designed for silent operation overall.

This is a fantastic case and we use a lot of them. We use the version right now with the side panel window so you can see inside your system.
